Filipino Student Dubbed As “Tubig Queen” Finishes College By Selling Bottled Water For 10 Years

Cebu, Philippines: A Filipino student called “Tubig Queen” the most popular water vendor in Cebu City, finally finishes his college degree.

Jay Khummer “Dodoy” Teberio, 21, has been selling bottled water for ten years to provide for his studies and for his family.

His unusual style of selling water gave him fame among netizens, as well as commuters and motorists along A. Soriano St. in Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.

Despite all the adversities in life, Teberio has triumphed in finishing his college degree in Secondary Education major in Music, Arts, Physical Education and Health at the University of Cebu.

Teberio’s determination and positivity proves that poverty is never a hindrance in achieving your dreams and on March 15, 2017, he obtained his college diploma.

His parents, Juanito and Flor, also street vendors are very proud of their son’s achievement despite lacking on many things.

According to Teberio, he will not turn his back from being a vendor and will continue selling bottled water while entertaining people in the street.
