Man Stuck in Wheelchair Works Hard to Sell Buko Salad Just to Provide For His Family

  • This man did not let disability get in his way.
  • He used his disadvantage to sell his product to provide for his family.
  • People now see him as a role model to society.

Disability makes living a normal life harder. You are at a permanent disadvantage when doing simple things like washing dishes. Or something like getting things from the top shelf. But it is especially harder if you are looking to provide for your family.
Instead of using his disability as an excuse, he used it as a means to actually feed his family. Utilizing the wheelchair he uses to get around, he sells buko salad. He wheels himself around the markets and streets of Caloocan. Netizen A. Sabalza took photos of the hard working man.

He shared it on his Facebook page and it began to trend almost instantly. The viral hit gained praises from people all over the country. The man should be commended because he didn’t not wait around for donations. He didn’t feel as if his disability would mean that other people should respect him or treat him better.
The man went out and looked for ways to get to work. His family needed him and he stepped up, no pun intended. It was going to be difficult but he didn’t mind. The vendor knew his responsibilities.

You would see the man around the market selling his product. Anyone who would like to do something for him or would like to give him and his family anything may do so. They just have to contact Sabalza so they would know where to look.

People were all quick to comment that the man is a good example for society. He didn’t think of what he couldn’t do but used what he had to gain work and money. That’s what people, especially young kids, should understand.
What do you think of this man’s story? Do you think that this disabled vendor is a good example especially to those who have no impairment but resort to stealing or scamming? Share your thoughts and reactions in the comments below!
