Marietta Subong or more commonly known by her stage name Pokwang confirms that she is seven weeks pregnant with her child from her partner, Lee O’Brian. Pokwang said that her partner is very happy about her pregnancy “Happy siya at parents niya excited syempre.” she said. The actress/comedian also added that she will be fine with whatever the baby will turn out to be as long as they are normal “Seven weeks and kahit anong gender basta malusog at normal na bata.” she quoted.
Pokwang entered her relationship with Lee O’Brian last January 20, 2015. The two of them got to know each other when they worked together in the film “Edsa Woolworth” which was also released in theaters on the same month.
This is not the first time that Pokwang will be carrying the child of Lee O’Brian. She was also pregnant way back in 2015 but she had a miscarriage on August 20, 2015. Even though Pokwang and O’Brian have been dating for some time now and they are planning on getting married, they are still saving up for it.
O’Brian introduced Pokwang to her parents in 2016 and was discussing marriage but during that time the comedian’s priority was her project which was Till I Met You.
There were different reactions regarding Pokwangs pregnancy and she tweeteed: “maraming salamat sa mga natuwa sa aking pagbubuntis?? sa mga hindi naman try nyo maging happy sa life??? and 44 lang po ako hindi 46 thanks!”
On june 15th, the internet buzzed with rumors that Pokwang was pregnant because of her talent manager Ogie DIaz’s facebook status.
Pokwang is known for her comedic acts wherein she uses herself as the subject of her jokes rather than other people. Aside from a career as a comedian she has also starred in numerous films such as “All You Need Is Pag-Ibig”, “Wang Fam”, “my Illegal Wife”, and “A Mother’ Story.
