- 2015 The Voice Kids Grand Winner Elha Nympha pretended to be a blind artist in The Voice Teens Edition.
- None of the coaches turned for her.
- In the middle of her performance, this surprisingly happened.
The singing competition, The Voice, is very popular around the world because of its unique selection process and format. During the “blind auditions”, the coaches’ chairs face the audience during the contestant’s performance. The coaches who are interested with the voice of the artist would hit the “I Want You” button and would turn their chairs around to see the performer. In the end, the contestant would either default to the only coach who turned around or choose his or her competition mentor if more than one expressed interest.
This selection format aims to deliver the concept that the coaches are really focusing on the quality of the singing voice more than the looks of the participants. This paves way for them to consider the talent first instead of the contestant’s other traits.
To prove that the coaches are indeed showing interest in the contestants’ talent, take it from the episode of The Voice Philippines Teen Edition aired last Saturday, June 3.
2015 The Voice Kids grand winner Elha Nympha dropped by the studio and gave a surprise visit to his former coach, Coach Bamboo. None of the coaches knew that she would be belting out Sia’s “Chandelier” as she pretended to be one of the contestants who audition for the episode.
In the beginning, none of the coaches turned around except for Sharon Cuneta. When she hit a very high note, this surprisingly happened:
It can be seen that her former mentor, Bamboo, is very proud of her and her performance. In the end, Elha jokingly claimed that she would pick Bamboo again as her coach.
After Elha’s success in The Voice, Elha has been active participating in different shows such as ABS-CBN’s Your Face Sounds Familiar. She also performed in Little Big Shots, hosted by Steve Harvey, which was aired last March.
This entertaining stint from the Saturday’s episode proves that the competition is seeking for pure talent and brilliant voice.
Do you think Elha should be given more shows and concerts? What can you say about her pure talent in singing? Share your opinions in the comments section below.
