Pinay pop star, Sarah Geronimo, has gone through a lot of failed relationships in the past. People always assume that the strictness of her parents is the root cause for her short-lived relationships. It wasn’t until her current boyfriend Matteo Guidicelli entered her life that she was finally able to prove that having strict parents is not a hindrance in having a stable love life.
In an interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), Matteo shared how much he loves Sarah. He also mentioned their secret in keeping a long relationship. According to the actor, being honest is how he earns the trust of his girlfriend’s strict parents. He said:
“Just be honest with your intentions. Know what you’ll do in the future.”
Matteo has been in a serious relationship with Sarah, who is hailed as the Philippines’ Popstar Princess, for more than three years now. Despite being together for so long, Matteo still makes sure to woo his girlfriend’s parents.
When asked about how he feels towards people looking up to him and Sarah, claiming that their relationship is the ultimate #relationshipgoals, Matteo responded by saying:
“Talaga? Thank you to them. But siyempre, it’s not always beautiful flowers and colorful. There’s also challenges here and there. I think that’s like any other relationship.”
The 27-year-old actor also gave credit to Sarah’s efforts in fighting for their relationship. He said:
“Definitely, she does. We do for each other.”
Matteo also admitted that until now, Sarah makes him feel “kilig” everytime he looks at her, and vice versa. He excitingly told PEP:
“Siyempre naman!”
In Lea Salonga‘s latest Tweet about her fellow The Voice coach Sarah, she said that the popstar has been looking pretty lately. Matteo responded almost immediately by saying “Yes Mam!”
He also added to his agreement by stating:
“Siyempre, she compliments the person you love, it’s something nice. Totoo naman, e. Dapat buong bansa magsabi kasi maganda talaga siya [Sarah].”
The celebrity couple also makes it a point to avoid sharing their date nights on social media. However, their loving fans can’t help but take photos of them whenever they see them in public.
Take for example last June 4 wherein a fan spotted them out on a date. The said fan took their photo and posted it online, sharing to everyone how happy the couple is.
