Filipino comedian and actress Melai Cantiveros is popular for her unique way of making people laugh. She started her career when she joined and won Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up in 2009. She also became the grand prize winner of the ABS-CBN show Your Face Sounds Familiar. Currently, she is one of the hosts of a morning talk show, Magandang Buhay, along with Karla Estrada and Jolina Magdangal.
Of course, Melai doesn’t focus on her career alone. As of now, she is the mother of two beautiful daughters, Mela and Stela, and wife of fellow celebrity and PBB contestant Jason Francisco.
Melai and Jason met when they joined PBB. At first, they were just being teased by the other housemates but eventually found out that they had feelings for each other. In 2013, the couple announced that they were expecting their first baby who was born on April 2014. On July 2016, the couple confirmed their separation but got back together a few months after. During the same time, they announced that Melai is pregnant with their second child who was born on April 2017.
Since Melai is a celebrity, she has to balance on being a mom and being a star. Off camera, Melai is like any other regular mom who spends time with her kids and takes care of the entire family.
Every morning, she and her daughter Mela would exercise by dancing their hearts out. The celebrity mom of two also makes sure that her family is well-fed. As a form of bonding, Melai takes her daughter with her whenever she goes to the grocery store. Unlike other celebrities, the comedian goes shopping wearing simple clothes.
Of course, she also cleans the house. One of her favorite chores is making sure that the bathroom is spic-and-span. Here she is scrubbing away all the dirt and grime.
By the looks of it, Melai seems to be happy and satisfied with her life both on and off screen.
