Former U.S. President Barack Obama formally relocated from White House when Donald Trump assumed the presidency early in this year. Along with his family, Obama moved to a residential mansion in which he and his family could all live privately.
According to The Independent, Barack Obama has purchased a $1.8 million mansion in Washington, D.C. The source cited that it is only around the corner from where Ivanka Trump lives with her husband, Jared Kushner.
Obama intended to stay in the area of Washington until their youngest, Sasha, finishes her high school studies. Currently, Sasha will start her classes as a junior year in Sidwell Friends.
Their spokesperson, Kevin Lewis, mentioned in an interview: “Given that President and Mrs Obama will be in Washington for at least another two-and-a-half years, it made sense for them to buy a home rather than continuing to rent property.”
BBC News said that the Obama family’s new house is located in the Kalorama neighborhood, which has equally expensive houses and properties in it. It has a total of nine bedrooms and is protected by the Secret Service officers around the clock.
Apart from Ivanka Trump, Barack Obama would also be living near Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who also owns the Washington Post newspaper. Bezos’ home was reported to cost $23 million.

Look at the recreation area! Just like the other rooms, it features a cream motif.
The kitchen area also follows the same neat and modern-looking white aesthetic with dark accents. The marble counter elegantly accentuates the overall room.
That’s one of the bedrooms in the residential mansion. The window has elegant black borders which further emphasizes the classy appearance of the room.
